Portchester B (19pts) - 160 for 4 (12 ov) beat Old Hambledonians (9pts) – 110 for 1 (12 ov)

The B Team got off to a winning start with a fine over Old Hambedonians. Batting first they clocked up a large score of 160 for 4 . That’s a run-rate of 13.33 for any stattos out there, which is only just higher than Dave Taylor’s economy rate on this years Club Tour! Simon Gale (36*), Steve Nutland (31*) and Dave Taylor (25) being the main contributors with the bat.
In reply Old Hambledonians never looked like making the total required and fell 50 runs short. Simon (3 overs 1 for 31), Steve (3 overs for 23) Craig Stainton (3 overs for 27) and Dave (3 overs for 28) restricting the opposition.
Only 1 wicket fell in the Old Hambledonians innings, so jut the 1 bowling point was achieved. Still, it was a very good win and start to the season. Josh Young also deserves a mention, who in his debut Indoor game kept and batted very well.
