PORTCHESTER CRICKET CLUB NEWS, NOV. 2007

Firstly thank you to all of you who supported the club annual Presentation Dinner last Saturday at Portchester Sailing Club. Congratulations to all the prizewinners. Pictures will soon be on the website.

Christmas Night Out

Saturday 15th December meet at Lloyds Bar Port Solent at 7:30 for a drink followed by a curry.

2nd Team Promotion

Chairmans message :-
I would like to congratulate Charlie and all the players who contributed to the 2nd team being promoted into the Hampshire League South 1 for the 2008 season. This is the highest level that the 2nd team of the club will have played in, and a massive achievement for everyone associated with it.
Everyone who thinks that they maybe a member of the side in 2008, should however look at the other teams that will make up this division. You will see that there is a lot more travelling and a lot of away games will mean earlier starts. It would be helpful to everyone if you talk to Charlie about availability earlier rather than later so that he can start to plan for the season. Listed are the teams in this division for next year :

NET PRACTICE

Colts start Friday 18th January at Cams School Sports Hall.
Seniors start Saturday 19th January 12 noon until 2 pm.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

As voted for at the Club AGM subscriptions are payable now, it is £ 50 for Seniors by 1st January with a further £ 50 by the1st April.
Colts fees are £10 by 1st January with a further £ 10 by the 1st April.
The total being £100 and £20 respectively.

INDOOR LEAGUE

Players and scorers are required for both teams on a Sunday evening please give Paul or Craig a call.

As every year the club are looking for advertiser for the fixture cards, a page costs £ 30 if you or any company you know would like to advertise please contact Dave Pitcher.
